Client: European Prime Contractor
Technology: Various ESA programmes including GEO telecoms, Earth Observation, Science spacecraft and payloads as well as National Government Agency programmes.
Activities: Providing PMP support for a wide range of hardware requirements including; structures, propulsion, electrical power, thermal control, antennas, RF and optical payloads and instruments and mechanisms.
Results/Outcomes: Specialist areas outside of the Client’s domain were enhanced in areas such as ; adhesive bonding, surface finishes (plating, anodising, painting), printed circuit board manufacture, printed circuit assembly and soldering processes, welding, brazing, lubrication and composites manufacturing. Review and approval of sub-tier and supplier activities, documentation, support to reviews, raising RIDS and review of sub-tier responses to RIDs. Expertise provided to problem solving in non-conformances (NRBs) and qualification activities. Hardware inspections were performed as well as Training and Mentoring in PMP to the Client’s engineering team.
